ASA offers high speed, dedicated, symmetric, Internet Protocol (IP) based access to the internet with bandwidth capacity in specific increments from 100Mbps to 10Gbps. We offer managed internet access and Wide Area Network (WAN) services.
ASA connects over 900 sites across Alabama.
ASA also provides centralized and remote Virtual Private Network (VPN) services, content filtering (for all K-12 school systems), and managed website & server hosting. Additional services that are provided include wireless Internet services for public libraries, next generation firewall services (for all K-12 school systems), managed co-location services, and vulnerability scanning.
ASA runs a Network Operations Center (NOC) based at the Supercomputer Center in Huntsville. The NOC encompasses both the 24x7 help desk and the support staff needed for designing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the state education network, hosting services, and the High Performance Computing (HPC) resources. All devices and services provided by ASA throughout the state are actively monitored and maintained to ensure service availability.
